Description

Orientation is your first real step into life at UT Southern. Spend the day on campus getting registered for classes, meeting classmates and professors and learning how everything from academics to housing and student life come together. It’s where your college experience starts to feel real, and where you begin building your place in a community that’s built for you.

A quick note: Orientation is required to register for classes and begin your journey at UT Southern – so be sure to secure your spot early. Registration will close 7 days prior to each event.

Additional note: Orientation taking place on August 14 is reserved for longer-distance and international students. Please register for a different date if this does not apply to you.

How long does Orientation last?: Orientation runs for about 4 consecutive hours, slotted depending on the date. You’ll receive a full schedule ahead of your selected date.
Who can attend Orientation?: All admitted students who have submitted their enrollment deposit are eligible to attend.
Is Orientation required?: Yes. Orientation is required to register for classes and begin at UT Southern.
Where should I park?: You can park in the Student Parking Lot or in any designated visitor parking area on campus. Signage will be available to guide you.
